"Welcome to Oahu" is a new visitor program to be released in 2010.

Welcome to Oahu is filmed specifically for Waikiki Hotels and the guests they serve. The content is fresh, exciting and compelling to watch.

Every hotel property will receive both English and Japanese visitor programs at no cost to the hotel. "Welcome to Oahu" in-room visitor television targets the needs of the hotel and their guests showcasing the hotels services and amenities designed to improve guest satisfaction while improving revenue spending on property.

Hotel services and amenities repeat every 30 minutes ensuring on property services and amenities are top of mind with guests.

All programming, equipment, installation and maintenance is provided free of charge to the hotel.



John Dana Dobovan – Award Winning Videographer

John Dana Dobovan has been a Hawaii resident since 1966. He has been a broadcast television professional since his days at Hawaii Public Television in 1970. Since then he made his reputation as an award-winning cameraman from the beaches of Waikiki to high inside the Arctic circle at the Northern tip of Norway.

John was the first video artist in Hawaii to receive grants from the State Foundation on Culture and Arts and from the National Endowment for the Arts (1978) and his earliest programs won first place in the first two Hawaii Video Festivals (1976 & 1977). Since then he has won numerous awards, including:

Sean has specialized in both English and Asian visitor markets for over 11 years. Raised on Oahu, Sean is bi-lingual speaking English and Japanese fluently with deep understanding of both American and Japanese cultures.

Sean has come to understand the vast differences in the needs and desires of the multi-cultural Hawaii visitors. Sean’s cliental include hotels, retail/shopping centers, food & beverage outlets, spas and attractions.

Through the years of working in the visitor and media industries, "local boy Sean Morris has a firm grasp of all Oahu has to offer, including "haute" shopping and dining spots, trendy bars and cafes, lavish spas and exhilarating attractions in addition to popular historical sites, off the beaten path beaches, hikes and much more helping visitors make the most of their vacation with memories to last a lifetime.
